Frankie Fisher's first trip out 24th October 2008

Frankie in field Frankie in field

We had a very succesful 10 days away in Frankie at Church farm, Six Penny Handley, she towed like a dream after we stopped and adjusted the nose weight a little, however when we arrived at the camp site, in darkness, we found that the van didn't want to reverse and we were loosing traction.

I knew what the problem was immediately, whilst I had the wheels off at home I thought that I would adjust the brakes, I had over adjusted them, luckily enough Terry, a friend of mine, had a bottle jack that I borrowed, jacked the caravan up and through the hole in the wheel I wound off the micram one click, enough to make it all work properly.

Living in the caravan was absolute bliss, a very comfortable layout and extremley warm, I think this maybe due to the one piece fibre glass roof, we even had frost on the car in the mornings but it was never cold.

The tap in the bathroom decided to give up on life so that is one small repair I will have to do.
